BioDie Antwoord is a South African rap-rave group formed in 2008, consisting of Ninja, Yolandi Visser, and producers God (formerly DJ Hi-Tek) and Lil2Hood. They gained international recognition in 2009 with their debut album, $O$, and their music videos for the songs "Enter the Ninja" and "Zef Side" went viral on YouTube. The band's music is a blend of hip-hop, electronic music, and Zef culture, with lyrics exploring themes of violence, sexuality, and drug use. Despite their success, Die Antwoord is dodged with several controversies, with accusations of cultural appropriation, homophobia, and misogyny, nevertheless, they are still active on the music scene. They have also ventured into acting, appearing in the 2015 film Chappie. The band has described themselves as "punk and fresh and kind of psycho."
